🦊 Be The Animal — Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Be The Animal collects no personal data. No accounts, no email, no name, no location, no advertising identifiers, no analytics, no third-party SDKs.

2. Camera & Face Data (ARKit)

This app uses Apple’s on-device ARKit Face Tracking to read expression values (blend shapes, e.g. "smile 80%", "jaw open 50%") only. We promise the following:

• By default the camera image (photo or video) is never displayed on screen, never stored on the device, and never transmitted anywhere.
• Turning on the optional "real face in replay" feature (off by default; requires a consent dialog plus a grown-up check) shows your real face in a small cam box during games and includes it in replay videos you save. Those videos are created and stored on this device only, and are shared only when you share them yourself through the iOS share sheet. The app never uploads any video.
• Tapping record in Mirror mode requests microphone permission. The mic is used only while recording, and your voice goes only into the video file you create. Deny it and recordings are silent. The app never separately stores, analyzes, or transmits audio.
• Face data (including expression values) is used only on the device for real-time animation and is discarded immediately.
• We do not use face data for advertising, marketing, or profiling, and we never share it with third parties.
• The photo feature captures only the cartoon animal graphic — your real face cannot appear in a photo.
• Declining camera permission keeps every feature available in touch mode.

3. Game Center

Optional Game Center leaderboards and achievements are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The app sends nothing to Game Center except scores.

4. Children’s Privacy

This is a family app. We collect no personal information from any user, including children — there is no "collection" within the meaning of COPPA or similar laws.

5. Local Storage

Progress (stars, stickers, settings) is stored only on your device and is deleted with the app.
